Update: June 18th, 2012
It was confirmed on Friday June 15th that 811 Whale Rock Road was completely destroyed by fire. As of that date, this project is permanently inoperational.
NCCs tools are still up there in a steel “mobile-mini” container. After today’s 3pm citizen briefing I hand delivered a letter and a key to PFA Chief DeMint, politely requesting a visual inspection of the tools in the container. He delegated this reasonable request to firefighter Spencer Rice who will attempt to verify the condition tonight or tomorrow.
Update: June 19th, 2012
PFA firefighter Spencer Rice reported bad news today. All of NCCs tools were lost in the fire. The tools were stored in a “mobile mini” type container about 60 feet from the house. However, the inspection revealed that the fire found its way inside via the wooden floor. NCC staff were disappointed to discover that the container did not have a protective steel underfloor.
NCC is not a general contractor, so insurance premiums to insure our tools was prohibitive. An appeal for donations to replace our tools will be sent out soon via Constant Contact. If you read this statement and would like to donate, please use any of the donate buttons throughout the website to help us get back on track.
