The National Center for Craftsmanship (NCC) is completing a full deconstruction of a residence and barn at 101 Vine Street, Fort Collins. The project is part of the City of Fort Collins Poudre River Whitewater Park to be completed in 2018 (see https://www.fcgov.com/parkplanning/poudre-river-park.php). This project includes the training of professional and volunteer crews in the techniques of building deconstruction for materials reuse & recycling, landfill diversion, workforce training, and economic development. Project partners include the City of Fort Collins and Story Barns, LLC. NCC anticipates that more than 75% of the building materials will be diverted from the landfill via reuse and recycling. For more information or to learn how you can participate, please contact NCC at Info@NCCraftsmanship.org.
