Eastman Kodak DeConstruct™ Project

With the introduction of digital film, Kodak’s plant in Windsor, CO needed to significantly downsize its physical plant spaces. Kodak continues to innovate with a wide range of popular products including digital cameras, video cameras, scanners, printers, digital frames, brand protection technology, and specialized film for the movie industry.
NCC developed a strong working relationship with Kodak executives to implement its DeConstruct™ training program on several commercial buildings that covered over 1,000,000 square feet.
The first phase started on March 15th, 2011 and was complete by April 12th. The project took nine days in total. An all female team salvaged over 8,000 board feet of maple boards in complete darkness using only headlamps. Over 1,000 board feet of teak was also salvaged. NCC will sell all the wood to invest in future programs for students.
